    Iron Ore Dressing Plant, How to Proceed with Process Improvement?

    At present, the beneficiation process has made a major breakthrough and development in our country and the ore recovery ratio has been improved significantly. Due to the complex ore proprieties, accordingly, the beneficiation processes have a big difference. We constantly improve the beneficiation process mainly for the sake of improving ore recovery ratio and cutting down cost. Taking a famous iron ore dressing plant in China for example, the improved process is stagewise grinding-- gravity separation-- magnetic separation-- anionic reverse flotation. What distinguishing features does this process have?

    Iron Ore Dressing Plant

    1. Adopt the coarse-fine separation technique, fully meeting the granularity requirement of the beneficiation equipment, conductive to improving the separating effect.

    2. The coarse separation adopts the gravity separation-- magnetic separation process. This process can get the final concentrate and tailings. Only a small amount of middling returns to ball mill for regrinding. This process reduces the sets of ball mills needed in the stagewise grinding and saves consumption and capital costs.

    3. The majority of minerals enter into the low-processing-cost coarse separation stage, decreasing the costs of concentrate.

    4. The coarse separation adopts the low intensity magnetic separation-high intensity magnetic separation-anionic reverse flotation process, among which the high-intensity magnetic separation plays a dual-role of discarding tailings and desliming, especially when adopting high-gradient and high-intensity magnetic separator, the separation effect is much better, creating favorable conditions for the following flotation process.

    5. Adopt the anion reverse flotation process, whose collector has a good selectivity, strong collecting ability, high adaptability, good separation effect and stable performance.

    6. After process transformation, the iron ore dressing plant receives obvious achievements, becomes a successful process improvement case in China and provides a referential experience for many ore dressing plants.
