    The Detailed Sorting Method of Iron Ore

    Gravity separation method is a common way to deal with coarse-grained iron ore, fine and micro-fine iron ore gravity separation also began to develop in recent years. The main methods of coarse-grained gravity separation are heavy media beneficiation and jig beneficiation technology and so on. The equipment that we often using are heavy medium vibration chute, heavy medium cyclone cone and cylinder of heavy media beneficiation machine, trapezoidal jig, rectangular jig, revival jig, circle jig and no piston jig etc. For example, a processing plant in China divided the crushed ore into 75-10mm, 10-2mm and 2-0mm three-level, first-class ore is sorted by heavy medium vibration chute, the latter two-classes are sorted by trapezoid jig. When the grade of crude ore iron is 36.80%, we can get the iron ore concentrate with iron 47.04%and iron recovery 89.37%. However, the processing capability of fine-grained gravity separation equipment and the recycling rate are closely related to the size of material fineness, effective recycling granularity lower limit of the original fine-grained gravity separation equipment only stay in the 37um level. For -37um grain size sorting, even with the better centrifugal concentrator, the index is not too high.

    Iron ore flotation processes consist of flotation, reverse flotation and the joint process. Research shows that, although the flotation has the characteristic of cast with low grade of tailings, but due to the limitations of selective flotation, the grade of iron concentrator ore is difficult to rise. In addition to the iron minerals that was up in the flotation, there are still some parts of unsuppressed and easy to float gangue minerals which were difficult to remove in the process of actual positive flotation operation of the crude concentrate, this was the main reason that it was difficult to improve the concentrator grade of the flotation, this method only applies to the ore that was composed simple and easy.
    Iron ore reverse flotation generally in the conditions of pH = 8-11, the amine cation collector agent will recycled the silicate gangue (most are quartz) to the bubble, in this case the iron minerals don't flotation, while the foams were discharge as tailings products. Coarse and fineness selection in the reverse flotation process and coarse selection in ordinary flotation process are similar to the choose homework, generally speaking, reverse flotation is easier to rise the concentrate grade. Reverse flotation is proved to be an economy and effective method to reduce the content of silica in iron concentrate.
